Alpha Colour Printers of Gloucester win Holloway friendly contract

Alpha Colour & Holloway FriendlyAlpha Colour Printers of Gloucester have clinched the contract for all Holloway Friendly’s printing requirements, following a corporate identity revamp.

Alpha will print letterheads, business cards, compliment slips, brochures, sales literature and newsletters for the Gloucester based income protection specialists.

Alpha will give added value to the Society through its new computerised stock control and on-line ordering system, by doing a bulk print run on all items which it will keep in stock in its Waterwells Business Park warehouse until required.

The Society can then order stock on-line as and when required which makes for considerable cost savings over ordering piecemeal print runs.

Maggie Williams, Alpha Colour’s Sales Manager, said: “Obviously we are delighted to get the business and to work with Holloway Friendly on an ongoing basis.

“Holloway Friendly is a great company to work with and is unique among insurance companies in that its policyholders are also in effect shareholders and get a share of the profits as well as income protection.”

Jonathan Bennett, Holloway Friendly Marketing Coordinator, said: “We had a look around Alpha Colour premises and we were very impressed with their operation and their standard of service.

“As a Financial Services provider, service is very important to us because, with changing legislation, our documentation is changing all the time. We were particularly impressed with their on-line ordering service.

“This is the first change in our corporate logo for some time. We were looking for a cleaner, more modern image for the Society.”Notes to editors:

Holloway Friendly is a Gloucester-based specialist in income protection insurance.

It was founded by Stroud MP Industrialist and social reformer George Holloway as the Stroud Working Men’s Benefit Society in 1875, as a way of giving local mill workers and their families an assured income in case of illness, or accident, as well as a lump sum on retirement.

It changed its name to The Original Holloway Friendly Society Limited and was the first in the UK to offer disability insurance. It now has thousands of members with income protection throughout the UK. The trading style is now Holloway Friendly and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

Today the Society remains true to its original ‘mutual society’ status and ideals as a non- profit making organisation which exist solely for the benefit of its members.
